Der North Rhino war schon immer ein Synonym für extreme Power und hohe Sprünge. Der Rhino 09 ist keine Ausnahme. Designed für Sprünge, Racing und maximale Leichtwindperformance, maximale Hangtime und beste Amwindgeschwindigkeit aus allen Kites der North Produktlinie. Weniger extremes Wegkippen and ein minimal flacheres Profil in der Mitte des Schirms, machen den Kite auch im oberen Windbereich extrem stabil. Verbesserter Lift machen hohe und lange Sprünge einfacher, ohne größeres Risiko eingehen zu müssen. Zusätzlich erlaubt die Attack Control Bridle den Rhino als 5 Leiner für maximale Sicherheit_nbsp_ oder als 4 Leiner ohne Performanceverlust.
Auch die Depower im 4Leinermodus wurde verbesser, die Attack Control Bridle greift nahezu identisch wie das 5th Element! Um Sicherzustellen, daß der Rhino so leicht wie möglich wird, hat NKB leichteres Ripstop Material verarbeitet, welches durch NKB bestens getestete Snakeskin Material entlang der_nbsp_ Abströmkante eingesetzt wird.
Rhino 09 Bridle Set Up:
Durch die neue Konstruktion kann der Rhino sowohl im 4Leiner- als auch im 5Leinermodus geflogen werden. Die neue Attack Bridle garantiert, daß der Kite innerhalb weniger Sekunden kraftlos zu Boden fällt. Bitte beachten Sie jedoch, daß nach wie vor, das 5th Element das sicherste System ist!!! Neue Nylonringe lösen die anfälligen Pulleys ab.

Finally some wind, I went to the water with my new toy, the North Rhino 2009 9m!
To take it for a test ride!
Backpack:
The Backpack of North has been changed only a little , this year it is light grey for the Rhino._nbsp_ It is a bag as we all know where the kite (in this case a 9m) fits in easily._nbsp_ It sits comfortably on your back. And you can easily walk with it , spots were you have to walk over a stretch of beach are hereby also within reach._nbsp_ Actually North has not changed a thing when u look at the old backpack
Bar:
The 2009 fifth element Bar of North little on has not been changed, it has a new colour and there is some Velcro tape placed near the clam cleat so that the depower line does not tangle
The Kite:
As we all know North has the Rhino to jump high and to ride with a lot of speed._nbsp_ You can believe me if I tell u that it does all that and more._nbsp_ What catches my eye when I unwrap the kite. , Is that North has changed the bridle in a way that it will not tangle like the 2008 model so easily. North has chosen a Evo model with power for the Rhino 2009 shape _nbsp_in comparison with the 2008 Rhino._nbsp_ Because of this the kite steers a lot faster and has a great feel on the bar. The kite is has a lot more lift then the 2008 model but with control due to the greater depower ability. They finally made a high end kite again of the Rhino and not a great only low-end / race machine.
The kite is super nicely finished as we are all used to from North
4 lines:
4 lines set up is also very easy on the rhino 2009. just take away the 5th line and it will not give less power, control or steering.
Kite flown 18 until 25 knots:
I changed nothing on the standard set up. What immediately struck is that North choose this year for Lazy Pump (on-pump). _nbsp_De shape of the kite is different to last year model._nbsp_ The kite has more an Evo shape.
De kite steers much faster than the 2008. Also the flight speed is better than the 2008 model
On the water:
What immediately strikes and for which the Rhino naturally is built, is that the Rhino has a lot of power._nbsp_ But not to much. It gives you the feeling that you can try any trick._nbsp_ On the contrary even, the kite feels good and when you crash you immediately know where the kite is_nbsp_ On the water, the kite builds up nice pressure (pop) to jump way high up in the air. Due to its reactive nature a mistake can be easily corrected.
Bar Feeling:
The kite has light bar pressure but not to less, you could say it is spot on. It is not so light that you have the feeling you are not in control and it react to any movement on the bar immediately
Restart:
The Rhino is super easy to restart. You just pull one steering line and it is up again
Conclusion:
Lovely kite that jumps nice and high, has good high end and a nice amount of pressure in the kite

REBEL 09 - Simple Safe
Test Rebel 2009, Reschenpass.
Wir sind den Rebel 2009 am Reschensee probegefahren mit verschiedenenFahrern._nbsp_ Wir müssen North zu diesem supergeilen Wurf gratulieren!!
Im gegensatz_nbsp_zum 2008 Kite ist der Rebel im Delta - Shape designt._nbsp_ (-12m2) Gegenüber allen anderen Kites im Delta Shape hat der Rebel sehr geringe halte und Steuerkräfte. Der Kite ist im Flugverhalten extrem Direktwas sicher allen Freestylern entgegenkommt. Steuerbefehle werden Direkt umgesetztund mit der North Bar 08 ist das Fahren ein genuss. _nbsp_Du weisst immer wo der Kite steht.(neue Bar erst ab mitte September verfügbar)Die Drehgeschwindigkeit hat sich im vergleich zum 08er beim 12er fast_nbsp_verdoppelt. ,o)Einzig was ein bisschen stört_nbsp_ist wenn man den Kite an der 5. Auslöst, kann es vorkommen dass der Kite_nbsp_hochfliegt.Durch ziehen an einer Backline geht er aber wieder willig aufs Wasser.
_nbsp_Der Kite hat nun ein One Pump System dass sehr gut funktioniert und Aussenliegend ist._nbsp_Verarbeitung ist wie bei North gewohnt gut.
Wir sind überzeugt dass North die Messlatte bei den 2009er Kites extrem hoch_nbsp_gelegt hat und der Rebel 09 für Aufsteiger wie für Könner geeignet ist.

Test North Rebel 2009 10m
Friday the 8th of August finally there was some wind! I drove to my favourite spot Andijk with my new Kite to give it a go.
Backpack: North did not really change anything despite of the colour. The rebel 2009 backpack is light grey/black. The back is the same size as last years and your kite fits in properly. (in my case a 10M)
You can hike with the back without back strain. In this way the spots where u have to travel like Wijk aan zee and Ijmuiden are also within reach J
I tested the Kite with the 2008 fifth element from North. I think it doesn’t need any further clarification. The kite seems to do well on the 2008 bar..
The Kite: As we all know the rebel is a kite for people who like a kite with a huge ease of use and excels in the waves. We are talking about an SLE/ Hybrid Kite. This Year North did not attach any kind of bridles or Pullies like on the rhino08.
Quality
The quality of the kite is as we are used to form North of high standardSaturday August 9Location: Andijk (IJsselmeer), Wijk aan zeeWind 16 to 25+ knotsI did not change anything on the standard set up of the Rebel
Changes
What strikes me immediately is that North choose to introduce one pump this year. The overall shape is a little bit different to the rebel of 2008. The kite seems to have bends at the corners of the kite. The kite is very fast to steer (faster then the rhino8). Thank god they changed the Bridles (rhino8) for something simple again like the Rhino7
On the water
What strikes to mind the moment u feel the kite is the ease of use and the well known reliable feeling this kite gives u. I immediately started to try tricks I would not try on the rhino8. Even if you drop in the water you can exactly feel where the kite is above u. On the water the kite builds up good tension to jump high and it is so fast that you can easily correct a mistake. At sea is a different story. It’s a dream to kite with the rebel 2009 in the waves. You can play in the waves with such ease without a kite pulling.
On the Bar
The kite has light to normal bar pressure and feels great. It’s not that light that u don’t feel it but I would say it is just right. It reacts great to impulses of the bar.een beweging van de bar.
The rebel is easy to restart after a crash. Just pull the steering line and u are on your way.
Low/ High end:
I was able to kite this kite from about 15 knots despite of my weight (100 kilos). On the sea there was about 25 knots and I did not feel overpowered in any way. Because it is so fast steering it builds up pressure and because of the depower ability it can also kite with great ease.
Great kite which does exactly what you expect from it.
