Nach der Markteinführung des Vorzeige-Delta-Kites Bandit 4, der auf fortgeschrittene und gute Kiter zielt, gibt es nun auch eine Alternative aus dem französischen Hause von F.One. Im März wird der F-One VOLT 2011 auf den Markt kommen, der vor allem auf Schulung, Einsteiger und Freerider zielt. Der Volt ist ein sehr leicht zu bedienender Kite, der mit seiner konstanten Kraftentfaltung sehr schnelle Lernerfolge möglich macht. Die unterschiedlichen Größen ermöglichen eine große Windrange. Der Kite ist sehr fehlerverzeihend und nimmt dir so nicht die Motivation nach den Crashes. Dank der 3 Struts ist der Kite wirklich leicht, das wirkt sich ebenfalls positiv auf die Windrange aus.
Der Autorelaunch ist ein sehr bedeutendes Feature, das in den letzten Jahren von F.One in die Kites geschneidert wurde. Der Kite wandert von allein, wenn er im Wasser liegt, an den Windfenster rand und liegt dann auf dem Tip. Während der ganzen Phase ist er nahezu drucklos und du kannst dich sicher wieder nach dem Crash sortieren. Der Kite wartet dann nur noch auf deinen Lenkimpuls, damit er wieder aus dem Wasser in die Lüfte fliegt.

F-One schlägt neue Wege ein, doch wer schon lange den Kitesport verfolgt, erkennt parallelen zur Vergangenheit, daher auch der Name. Die französische Firma hat einen Kite gebaut, der dem klassischen C-Kites sehr ähnelt. Er wird mit einer Bar ohne Depowerweg und mit nur zwei Leinen gefahren.Das klingt erstmal schräg und überhaupt nicht vorausschauend, doch der Clou liegt in der Windrange. Der Source ist darauf ausgelegt, kiten zu gehen, wenn alle noch am Strand sitzen und die Flaggen nur langsam umher wehen. Die komplette Range ist auf äusserst wenig Gewicht ausgelegt, so kann der Kite früh fliegen und Spaß bieten. Gefahren werden soll der Source vor allem mit einem SUP Board. Diese Boards bieten genügend Auftrieb, um bei dem wenigen Wind Spaß zu haben. Auf wen zielt die Windrange von 6-12 Knoten? Das gibt gleich mehrere Antworten. Zum einen ermöglicht es Neueinsteigern einen sanften Start in den Sport, des weiteren können Stand-Up-Paddler mit dem Kite auch den leichten Wind nutzen, um beide Sportarten zu verbinden. Ausserdem ist es nicht zu vergessen, dass im Sommer die Winde recht schwach sind, wobei das Wetter allerdings meistens bestens ist und du gern den Tag am Strand verbringen möchtest. Mit dem Source bist du definitiv der erste Kiter auf dem Wasser, auch wenn die Leichtwindwaffen, wie der Silberpfeil, noch am Strand liegen. Der Kite kommt in 9, 11, 13 und 17 Quadratmetern. F-One hatte gleich mehrere Herausforderungen zu meistern, denn der Kite soll sehr leicht sein, mit einer Zweileinerbar gut funktionieren, ein einfaches Handling haben und zu einem günstigen Preis erhältlich sein. Was viele vielleicht überraschen wird, der 17er hat sein oberes Windmaximum schon bei 10 Knoten!Die F.One Source Bar ist übersichtlich! Sie ist 55cm breit und hat zwei 24m lange Leinen.
